Our goal

Our goal is the preservation and improvement of the original American Bulldog.

The American Bulldog was never a dog bred for a certain look. Rather, the American Bulldog should be able to master the tasks he’s challenged with.

Therefore, in different regions of the USA, the American Bulldog developed a different look. Some breeders placed their emphasis on a good working/catch dog, others were interested in getting a bigger and heavier dog.
We like to have the original “American Bulldog” look without any extremes; but still having typical heads, thick bones and the look of a Bulldog. We do not want the resemblance of a Terrier or big English Bulldog.
The type we prefer is a very efficient dog with no health or temperament problems, a high prey-drive, a good working ability and also a great family member. We work our dogs in Schutzhund, Weight pull, and the French ring. Our major contribution and effort is in the breeding and improvement of the original type and the health and working ability of this breed.

We place big value, lots of time, research and a high quality standard on our breeding program.

We use, as much as possible, dogs from our own lines (in the meantime the 3 generations). Sometimes it is difficult to find the ideal stud for the right female.

We had puppies out of FANG (a male we bred), who lives in Noway. We had puppies out of Apex “Maximus Steel” of Bybee´s (our male Zorro), a linebred Sure-Grip dog, bred and owned by the Bybee´s in CA.

Our last Proud Heroes´ litter was sired by the great GR CH Kinghavens´ “General Lee” (our puppy, Jewel), OFA exc. General living in the USA/PA.

Now we hope to get puppies out of GR CH Karasek´s Bear.

We live with our 6 American Bulldogs (Müller, Phoebe, Kwee, Scotty, Zorro and little Jewel - our little General daughter). Liese and Bambi live with our friends. With their help, it’s possible to have more dogs for our program without losing the very important close relationship to our family dogs.
My five year old twin boys, Cedric and Tjalve, love our dogs as much as we do and our 6 Bulldogs have developed different, close relationships with both of my children.

We only breed with hip certified dogs, which also have passed a temperament test or a SCH BH.

Dogs from our breeding program live in all parts of the world to include Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Denmark, America and Norway.
